Well, as country as we would like to be we did not identify the snakes correctly. They were copperheads. Once we looked them up online "YUP thats them". Their heads have a distinct shape compared to the corn snake and other non-venumous.
The third one he killed late yesterday looks to me to be a cotton mouth but who knows. All I know is we are cutting the yard short and clearing up the junk to get rid of all the hiding places for these creatures.
We have family and friends who visit and we don't need them sharing the yard with them.
